Manifest packages publish complete immutable releases. If you use the earlier
register(..., styles: ..., entryPath: ...) API, publish the assets before rendering
the page:
Local CSS and JavaScript URLs use the published content digest. Changing a file
while preserving its size and modification time still changes its version after
publication. Rendering does not hash source files. Missing publication metadata
produces a clear error instead of serving a URL with an unreliable version. Use
an AssetPackage manifest when your component includes imports, workers, fonts or
other resources, or needs complete-release retention and rollback.
The esbuild adapter requires the complete metafile, including input provenance.
Keep metafile: true, use createFlexSdkPlugin(), and declare opaque worker resource
edges in the build declaration. Output-only metadata cannot establish that your
package reuses the installed SDK implementation.
