Start a family with one command in a Laravel application that has FLEX installed. The destination must be a new directory with an existing parent:
Add --dry-run --json to inspect the 15 planned files without writing them. Existing directories, files and symbolic links are never overwritten. The command creates source files; it does not install dependencies or modify your application. The starter includes a field, table column and infolist entry; typed family registration; Composer discovery; escaped display views; one stylesheet owner; and a build using the public SDK. Its field nests FlexTextInput through a child schema. You can configure that actual child with its public PHP API without copying its input template, CSS or JavaScript. The field stores a JSON object such as ['text' => 'Summary']; use an Eloquent array cast for that attribute. Follow the generated README to build and install the package. npm run build creates a content-addressed artifact directory and manifest. Failed compilation preserves the previous manifest, and repeated identical output keeps the same release. Old generations remain available; the build does not delete unrelated files or decide when installed applications may stop using a generation.

Arguments and options

The generator validates identities and destination safety. It creates source files, not an installed Composer dependency. Continue with the quickstart to build before provider discovery.
