FLEX now keeps its builtin assets in complete immutable release directories, using the same atomic publication protocol as typed extension packages. Keep old public releases available while existing browser tabs or deployment nodes still use them.
Activate your application checkout only after those commands succeed. Rollback uses the previous checkout’s PHP, build seal and package manifests together with its retained public directories. Avoid updating a live vendor tree in place.
The installed release, the newest retained releases and every --protect identity are preserved. Choose a grace period long enough for your clients. Publishing never deletes previous releases. Package selection uses its current registry manifest and affects only that package. The command verifies all retained markers and artifact bytes before the first deletion; corruption rejects the operation. Old source checkouts are unnecessary. Unknown or uninstalled package selection fails; legacy pre-migration files remain untouched. Publication and retention share a bounded lock; a busy publisher fails with a clear timeout instead of waiting indefinitely. This is a local filesystem deployment contract, not automatic application activation or a claim of compatibility with every CDN/NFS deployment.
